About Flav

Hi. I’m Flav Lilly. I view myself as an educator, leader and lifelong learner with a love for teaching, research, and working alongside faculty colleagues and students. I’ve spent my career in academia and my disciplinary foci have been in biology, epidemiology, sociology, and gerontology.

Higher education is where I feel most at home — whether it’s developing new academic programs, mentoring students, or collaborating with faculty on a new idea. These pursuits are tremendously rewarding and I find that same creative energy when I draw or paint. Art gives me a different way to express ideas. And, it’s relaxing.
